Sorry I didn’t see your responses sooner.

You might have a bad DRY Pan pot. If the DRY OUT slider is at max, does turning the DRY pan pot change anything about the output signal? Make sure you have some signal going through the unit when testing this.

You’re right that moving the track faders below zero will cause the audio on the tracks to fade-out when overdubbing, so you do want to keep the track faders at maximum. Possibly we’ll get some DRY level back after figuring what’s going on with the DRY bleed.

Where do you have the pan pot just above the DRY OUT slider set to? Ensure this pan pot is set to the full counterclockwise LEFT position so that Left Input is only heard at the Left Output and Right Input is heard only at the Right Output.

You might have to bring down the four track sliders a bit for a better balance between the dry signal and the recorded tracks.

in reply to: 1440 losing external clock? #186874

The tempo ranges you’re working with: 87-98 BPM are totally fine. We just wanted to know where you were working, approximately, as far as tempo goes.

We’re not really sure what’s going wrong here, it sounds like the 1440 is missing MIDI clock messages. It could be a bad MIDI cable or a bad MIDI connector on one of the units.

Any chance you could send us a video of the failure so we can see what’s going on?

Can you confirm for us that your 1440 has version 0.57? It will display the version number during boot up.

Also can you tell us what BPM the Beat Buddy is set to when this occurs?

Thanks for finding this bug. We’ll probably fix this bug and add the requested PC messages (if possible) in February or March.

Awesome! Glad the wave generator is working with the 1440’s CC mapping.

Gila_Crisis, thanks for the great video review. It was great to see the new MIDI features in action.

You are correct that the reason we require three consecutive PC erase messages before a loop is actually erased is to act as a fail-safe so users don’t accidentally erase their loops while scrolling through PC messages. We understand this is annoying to deal with. Maybe something we could consider in a future firmware update is to add a second loop erase PC message which will erase the loop immediately with just one received message. We would probably make it the highest or second highest PC number: 126/127 or 127/128) so that it will be difficult to accidentally send the PC message while scrolling through all the PC numbers.

Are the MIDI CCs now reacting to the MC3’s waveform generator? It seems like in the video that is now working?

    Thanks again!

in reply to: 720 Looper Volume level #186749

Can you try the 720 in the FX loop, just to see what happens?

in reply to: 720 Looper Volume level #186743

Where do you have the 720 Looper in your signal chain? It sounds like you might have distortion or gain after the looper which could make it hard to set a good level out of the 720 Looper. If you can, try placing the 720 after any distortion or gain.

in reply to: How do i load my own drum loops to 95000?? #186707

Let us know how it goes with a stereo TRACKM wav file.

in reply to: How do i load my own drum loops to 95000?? #186635

In the 95000’s manual, check the section titled “Importing Audio Files”, found on Page 31. Every detail must be followed exactly as described in the manual for the 95000 to recognize your imported audio files.

One thing that is sometimes overlooked, the numbered track files must be mono while the mixdown track file must be stereo.

For the TEMPO.TXT file, we recommend you copy this file from a loop made by the 95000 and update the tempo BPM to match your audio. You really don’t need to change any other settings in this text file.

in reply to: 1440 looper Mode knob not working #186634

Most likely this is a defective unit where the MODE knob’s center push switch does not work. If you just purchased it, we recommend exchanging it for a new one with the dealer.

in reply to: Oceans 12 volume boost #186421

Most likely your Oceans 12 firmware needs to be updated but we should double-check first. Upon power up you should see the REVERSE LED blink plus one or two other LEDs. For example, if you see REVERSE and MOD blinking during start up, this indicates version 1.2 is loaded on the Oceans 12.

Otherwise, yes, contacting electroharmonixuk@virginmedia.com is your best bet for getting the unit updated.

For MIDI messages used to change presets on other pedals, usually you want to use MIDI Program Change messages, abbreviated as MIDI PC. Each MIDI PC message consists of a MIDI channel and the PC number. Usually you set each receiving device to its own channel to avoid confusion, although you don’t have to do this.

On the Super Switcher, each preset can send one PC message (and also a Control Change message, CC). When you load a preset on the Super Switcher by pressing its footswitch, the Super Switcher sends out the PC message. You must make sure the PC button is lit for a given preset, the Super Switcher only sends MIDI messages if the PC button is lit. So load the preset, for example 1-2, and press the PC button to light it. The next time you press footswitch 2, to load 1-2, it will send a MIDI PC message.

To edit a MIDI PC message on the Super Switcher, load the preset that you want the PC message to be attached to. Then press and hold the PC button until you see PCN in the display. PCN represents the PC message to be sent. Turning VALUE will show ChL, which represents the PC message’s MIDI channel. From page 9 of the manual, do the following:

    • With the character display showing PCN, press VALUE. The character display will show a three-digit number.
    • Turn VALUE to select the PC message number. The range is 000-127. (These values are the presets numbers that will be loaded by the receiving device. Sometimes the PC numbers don’t always match the preset number on the device.)
    • Press VALUE again to go back to PCN.
    • Turn VALUE so the display shows ChL. Press and release VALUE.
    • Turn VALUE to select the PC send channel. The range is 01-16 and ONI for Omni, which sends the PC message on all channels.
    • Press and hold VALUE to exit PC message edit.

Now ensure the PC button is lit for the preset and the next time you press the footswitch associated with the preset, the PC message you just set up will send.

Make sure to match the channel you set on the Super Switcher to the channel setting on the Strymon pedal. Start with Channel 1 or ONI (OMNI) on the Super Switcher. Omni mode sends the PC message on all 16 channels.

No need to apologize. So glad to hear the issue was resolved. Have fun with your set up!
