Man, every time I see the old chasis pedals XO’ed, it makes me want my Polychorus and Micro Synth shrunk down. The XOs just look so damn cool.

Hey EHX, how about a bass graphic fuzz? ;)

    Hello,

The Micro-Synth has neen shrunk down. The Graphic Fuzz’s left last week and were shipped out with such fierce and fury that the sound on the block will never be the same.

They are coming off the production line as we speak…. stay tuned.

The Lil Muff is a lot tighter in that sense. There is a more concetrated drive I think on this unit. It still delivers and it takes less space on the floor.

It’s not the size of the muff, it’s how you use it….

    I hope this can help:
Wicker Switch — Activate Wicker Mode by flipping the switch up to the ON position where the high frequency bandwidth is opened up for a bright and clear top end. Set the switch to OFF to obtain the classic Big Muff Pi (NYC) sound.

Tone Switch — Allows the user to activate the Tone Knob or completely bypass the tone circuitry. When the Tone switch is set to ON, the Tone Knob is active, just like a NYC Big Muff. When the Tone switch is set to OFF, the Tone Knob and all of its circuitry is bypassed. This setting yields a totally new Muff distortion with a powerful drive and uncolored gain. Please Note: It is normal for the output volume of your Big Muff Pi with Tone Wicker to increase when moving the Tone switch from ON to OFF.

Try the Micro Pog sometime…. that box tracks really well. Very cool box. I just picked one up and it brings out the bad side of me…. really funky!

Keep her… She’ll be very good to you… she will love you long time.

The Electro-Harmonix Holy Grail uses 6 springs that are 14 feet in length. They are wrapped up in a ball inside that box. The only thing controlling it is that one knob. The AC power adapter heats the coils of the springs to produce a heat generated reverb that rises to the top of your playing. This allows the sound to cascade in a reverb type setting. It’s really genius how they do it. The Holy Grail allows the sound to linger longer than the odor in your shoes.

    Hello All,

I have great news to share! The Big Muff Pi with Tone Wicker will be shipping this week from our factory. Your local music shop should have them next week. Your amp will love you more now than before.

a guitar shop guy once tried to convince me that the Flerb setting on the Holy Grail was actually reverse reverb…while that was silly, the Flerb does sound kind of cool.

lol, it’s supposed to be flanged reverb isn’t it? I’d really like to have a play with one of these but I don’t really use a lot of reverb, just a smidge on the amp.

Take the Holy Grail and put it before or after the DMM. Push the Flerb and get some spaced out effect. You can really drive it witht the right fuzz to. Flerb should not be feard, it should be embraced….

Didn’t The Edge use the old DMM-as-an-overdrive ruse?

    .

I am sure someone here can find some info on that. Not sure myself. U2 is great and the Edge delivered it nicely all those years. He experimented and got it. Experimentation is what those knobs allow you to do…. so keep turning.

The studio version is great.. live, not so much.

This is fueling my gas for a DMM though. So is the Jack Conte National Anthem cover.
edit: I found one on ebay and bought it. I couldn’t resist. Hopefully it’ll be here by Saturday.

The DMM is a fun box indeed… I mentioned this a few times already, the overload function is great in front of an amp. You can fry it up nicely in the front so you are fueled to deliver the bacon.
