The Tone Wicker…. You can call her a “White Russian”. A little bit of this and a little bit of that. ‘

New favorite pedal :) I haven’t stopped playing it.

Enjoy it. You can do some really cool stuff with it. Don’t be afraid to make noise! Play around with your effects loop on you amp if you have one. Turn all the knobs and be happy!

BTW DMM should be in my hands by the end of the day. :)

You will never leave you home…. The DMM will occupy you for a long time…. Tell your secretary to hold your calls for a few days with this box.

Yes, it’s the only pedal that I feel justified in keeping 3 of them.

They all sound a bit diiferent from one and other I bet. That’s the beauty!

I tried/tested one a few months ago, and was supprized how well this Metal Muff does a Southern Rock type break-up into a Fender ’59 Bassman RI !
    Thinking of getting one !

Funny you say that. The name is deceiving… you can get tons of great Muff tones. Just roll back your volume and you are somewhere else.

The EQ Band is really versatile and allows the frequencies to be adjusted accordingly.

I turned down a $60 Top Boost Metal Muff last summer and I still kick myself from time to time; I was broke anyways, but the Boss MT2 left an eternally lingering hatred for solid state high gain devices… Little did I know the Metal Muff is rad and extends far beyond the high gain realm.

    PS: FUZZ said ‘muff hump…’

We all have those stories of missing a great opportunity because of lacking in funds. This happens all the time and you learn. It’s good to hear that you can recognize the difference in both units. The Metal Muff is a box that stands out on it’s own. :metal:

in reply to: is EH responsible for the new Gold Lion reissues? #88882

Yes it is… Genalex GOLD LION Tubes are part of the New Sensor family. There are KT66 – KT77 – KT88 – and the infamous N709/EL84 GENALEX. You can now get these great tubes and have your amp thanking you for doing a great service. Enjoy.

    :)

WOW…. where did you find that?

We have released all the backorders and have shipped all the Big Muff Tone Wiickers to all those who have pre-ordered them. You should check your local guy and see if he’s ordered it. If not, he can place one and you should have shortly. It Sells for $89 US.

Good Luck and Keep making Noise!

cool. But this is definitely a pedal I want to try before buying. I just don’t know what to expect (though that is rather exciting). I guess I’ll just have to be patient for awhile longer before it turns up at one of my local music stores.

You should definitely try it out first. EHX makes a lot of great boxes, but not all of them are appropriate for everyone. They are created to help the player create his own sound, that’s really it. Bother your local guy to get one on order and try one out. After reading what you wrote, this might be the box for you. It won’t suck up your chords, it will enhance them.

Yes it can. This is the most versatile Big Muff yet. You will be pleased. It will answer a lot of questions you may have about distortion. Kind of like the birds and the bees.

So what’s the deal with this? Originally, I saw it listed as being available November 21st. Just now, it looks like Tone Factor has it, but no one else. When should it be making it’s way to my neighborhood EHX store?

As for the Tone Wicker, I can’t wait to hear it. Can it get an NYC-type sound in addition to all the new tones?

    apparently so. :)

Wow… I never noticed that before. You need to get outside and try some fresh air. How would you find that? Even if it’s right in front of you….lol.

    😆 you tell me.

What pedals haven’t you tried FUZZ?

I am afraid to say, the HOG and POG. I liked the Mocro Pog so much, I never tried the original. And also the Stereo Polyphase.

This place allows you to grab a box and run it through some old Sovtek Tube Amps. Remember the Migs?
