Also, is this switch supposed to be in parallel with the existing caps?

    Thought I’d jump in here…

Brian Wampler wrote an article on the black Russian Muff here:

I was interested in trying out some of these mods. I didn’t want to chop up my beloved 3003 rev_E muff, so I bought another used in order to experiment.

However, very few of the values match up. Is there an NYC 3003 Rev_E schematic you could post? I’m trying to trace it out myself, and I’m worried I’m going to ruin my pedal.

Hey there, I got an Electro Harmonix English Muffin while I was traveling in Canada.

I want to use it now that I’m back in Australia so I got an unregulated 1000ma power supply and want to cut off the connector and solder it to this.

The guy who sold me the new power supply though told me the English Muffin has to draw exactly 1000ma or else it will be ruined.

Does anybody have the specs for this pedal? I’ve tried the EH supplier in my country, music shops and repair shops too to no avail.

I have been told by several qualified techs that a pedal will only draw as much current as it needs. It hasn’t led me wrong yet.

However, the voltage and polarity have to be correct, or you could damage your pedal. Make sure that you give a DC pedal DC current and and an AC pedal AC current (Line6, Alesis, and others) Also, in the case of a DC pedal, be absolutely certain that you get the polarity correct (center negative vs center positive).

    According to the EH website:

    http://www.ehx.com/products/english-muff-n/instructions

    the English Muff’n requires 12VAC at 1A.

I would do my best to get an EH approved power supply, however. I could help you if you were in America, but I know diddly about Australian power.
