yes, volume changes, i hate them….
EH is my all time favorite, and all 30+ or so pedals i use are all EH except 2 (classic cry baby with fasel, and BBE sonic stomp)

but i don’t remember having volume problems with my boss pedals when i first started playing.

but the 2 that i most notice having issues with these days are my Holier Grail, it has a big volume drop when engaged , and my Small Clone, has a very noticeable volume boost when used.

    irritating!

ok other than what has been mentioned all ready and my wooden boxes that say nothing…and sorry if i forgot and included sum that are all ready sed…

    The Mole: “dig it.”
    Small clone: “your nirvana”
full sized Metal Muff w/ top boost: “your alloyed muff”
SMMWH: “your new delay with all the hazarai”

and speaker, tubes, and the Poly-chorus, says nothing.

a first generation Peavey 5150 head with 4×12

Mesa Boogie dual rectifier head with 4×12 (burgundy tolex)

and actually my current favorite is a 1×12 combo called a Studiomaster Valve Leadmaster. I think of it as a Mesa mark 2 C+ clone from England. very rare, 60 watt tube amp. and i got it for only $150. with flight case! i should have payed over 2k for it. check it out! mine is a variant, it has black tolex covering and the speaker is a bit right of center to accommodate a port hole, and has recessed side handles.

sorry i dont think i can be to much help. i am more of a distortion guy these days, i think the last best OD i had was a Boss dual overdrive (hard to find these days) combined with a Boss EQ pedal.

i dont have the Electro Harmonix Geranium OD, but a friend does, and it does have a real classic OD sound to it.

heres a YouTube vid of it from ProGuitarShop: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qbdzwuKd4bM

and here are a couple more:

no bird here, but i do have the mole! i use it before my metal muff with top boost to get more low end for chunky metal backup rhythm , but its still set low, usually right about 9 o’clock. i cant place it after the distortion, because then it just squashes the signal and kinda mutes it.

i just like to have a wiring diagram as well so i have a better idea as to the best placement for the components, and if its a clone i like to have it look as original as possible.

    no offense taken, wise advise..

thanks, i did the first one but wasn’t happy with what they had, i can do this but i wanted a schematic and a wiring diagram, its a lot easier that way and most sites only list a schematic only.

i was searching google but found nothing there as well, but thanks for suggesting to search google picks! i found something that will work!

i have decided to build a Fender tweed deluxe clone!

now i just need to go back and look within this post to see if theres info on being able to hook up all 3 – 8″ 15w speakers in one combo, that would be original. but i dont evan know the differance between series and parilel.

well i would agree that fenders sound great with EHX products. but i myself don’t currently own or use one, other than a custom built guitar that no one can recognize from a company that only made so many then disappeared.(its my favorite guitar and I’ve literally owned about 100 of them in the past)(i posted a topic on it, look up: “can anyone name this guitar”) all other guitars i use are custom made ones from myself. the closest thing to a fender ill have in a bout a week, my current project should be done and its a clone of a 70’s custom Tele deluxe with humbuckers. kinda metaled out. other than that all my made guitars have a LP like set up, even tho there not LP’s

reminds me….i realy need to take pics of the guitars ive made and post them, so people dont start to think i’m blowing smoke out my ass.

can anyone please help? my current project is allmost done, and thats the second guitar in a row, im excited to build another amp next!

i have not modded one yet, and I’m not sure if he has a schematic of this model seeing that its newer. but i go to http://www.ronsound.com to get my schematics, he has most for all EH products and many for other brands as well.

yeah i thought of buying a amp with no speaker or a blown one, like those. but when i looked on ebay i actually couldn’t find any and i would rather have sum thing a little more original and it would give me another project to work on. im almost done with my current one. (a 70’s tele deluxe type copy, but made for metal)
