I really really loved mine, I thought it was amazing, beautifuly warm and lush with clean guitar, best clean guitar sounds I’d ever used probably……but it didn’t really work with my distortion blasting into it, and unfortunatly I play with a lot of distortion 90% of the time. 😥

yeah distrotion seems to make it go over the top. nice with a bit o’ drive though

You lucky dog! The manual should tell you this, but the Looz setting is a rotating speaker sim, the Hamm sound is similar to the Looz but much brighter (I haven’t plugged it in for a while so my memory may be off), the Acey is a near perfect replication of the Vox tremolo and the Wurl is a much more subtle vibrato than the other modes. The manual says that the vibrato knob has no effect in tremolo mode, but it affects the color of the guitar on mine – the Hamm setting is way brighter than the Looz setting, and there are subtle differences between the Acey and Wurl modes. I’m not complaining, though; it’s handy to have that extra treble on hand, especially when the pedal is usually so warm.

You picked a winner, my friend

EDIT: okay I watched your video and realize you probably already knew all of that.

yep i noticed that the tremolo was affected (even though the manual says it isn’t). i have been enjoying the wurl setting. nice vibrato on that. the univibe ish one is a fave too (looz) – you are right about the hamm setting it is brighter than the looz and with a little less movement. the vox replica is nice, you can get a lot of note movement with that one, i think i overdid it a bit on the vid with the stones tune. :)

yes i liked mine but ultimately had to sell it as i got a new amp (twin reverb) and i didn’t have the space for it. but i reckon it is the best of the reverbs i tried.

The SC is probably the best chorus out there, well I think it is anyways.

i do, i think most people who use this stuff are not the “rocker” type and tend to want to be a bit more individual (because fenders are unpopular, lulz) but you know what i mean

    Hey guys, first post!
So my Nano Stone is not properly working, it only powers and works on a battery, I’ve tried powering it with generic, EHX, Analogman and One-Spot adapters with no luck, I can’t recall exactly when this started to happen since I powered with an adapter just a few times, everytime I plug any kind of adapter in, it lets the bypass signal go through, but I get a volume drop with no effect when engaged.
Any help (I just hope it’s a simple matter to fix since I’m in Peru and nowhere a qualified tech) would be greatly appreciated

sounds like a bad connection in the pedal along the power supply input. if it works with a battery i would take the back off and check the connection from teh dc power input to the circuit board.

i don’t mean just EH are producing lower quality tubes than before, everyone is. they simply aren’t up to the quality and durability of the valves of the 30s-50s

that might be true, it’s pretty much the case for everything though from chairs and tables to televisions and clothing….most people want affordable goods at the lowest cost possible.

I’m afraid I can’t see things ever going back to the way they were, where the quality of something was the top priority…..most people just aren’t prepared to pay for it.

Buy cheap, dispose…..unfortunatly it’s the way the world is and I can’t see that changing in the near future, it will probably get worse if anything.

sad, but true mr melx. it is one of the reasons bias was introduced to amps as valves became more and more inconsistent and the amp had to be tuned to them.
