Not that I know of, most every filter I can think of is an envelope follower rather than envelope triggered like the microsynth’s.

Is it just me, wouldn’t this be a great pedal? Have a sweep that the rate is controlled by a tap tempo. Man, I wish I knew more about electronics.

I’ve been really wanting a microsynth for awhile because there aren’t many pedals with a synth filter sweep like that.

That is the main feature I am looking for … a great sweep from low/high, or high/low with a rate (time) that wont cut out. Any suggestions of other pedals that may be able to do this?

HI , I have the Bass Micro Synth pedal and I would like to ask if anyone could help me with it . The issue I am having is that depending on the way it is adjusted , I will have a note clip or drop off prematurely when I would like for it to ring out . I have a EH White Finger in front of it in the hopes that it would sustain the note but I must not have it set up right either . There are so many setting senerios , I have played around with different settings but have not yet found the right combination . Any help would br greatly appreciated ! Thanks inadvance . Vince .

I put a compressor in front of my guitar XO version and it helps with sustain a lot. I also have reverb and delay pedals after the Microsynth that I will turn on to give it an even more sustain. I can get some huge sounds this way, especially when teamed up with a distortion or fuzz.

Thanks for all the replies. So the consensus would imply that the cut out is normal, I’d be much happier if that had actually been expressed somewhere in the product documentation. Also it wasn’t mentioned in any of the video reviews/guides that I watched prior to purchasing the pedal.

You’d think that something like this would be worth mentioning, especially since not every buyer will have intimate knowledge of this type of effect, “normal” operation notwithstanding.

I am a little late to this thread, but thought I would throw my 2 cents into the discussion. I got a used Microsynth of Craigslist and also had the cut out issues. I too put a compressor in front of it and it helped a lot. I wish I didn’t have to use the compressor, but it is definitively needed.

[how to reverse engineer a preset]
Recall a preset, then move one of the pots. The preset light starts flashing to say you’ve edited the preset. Keep moving the pot until the light stops flashing. You have just identified the setting for this pot. Do this for all pots, and you can reverse engineer any of the presets you have in there.

Here is a SMMH cheat sheet I made for myself since I have trouble remembering all the alternate functions of the knobs. I keep a copy next to my pedalboard for easy access.

    SMMH cheat sheet:

    FYI –
the numbers in parenthesis are to remind me to reset them before starting that mode …
For the Loop mode, I set REPEATS to full clockwise (100), to ensure the playback volume of the tracks are equal after overdubs; and DELAY to noon (50) so I can speed up/slow down the loop. For the Re. Echo mode, I set DECAY full counter-clockwise (0) so it only has one voice (suggested EH setting).

    ====================
And here is a blank template I made for my Stereo Memory Man setting. I use a red pin and make marks where the settings are so I don’t have to remember them. It makes recreating sounds much easier. Enjoy!

Anyone out there with a SMMH that can chime in?
    Or maybe an EHX employee?

I have a preset that I love but I can not remember the settings for it. How can I reverse engineer it to find my knob settings so I can write them down?

I remember reading somewhere someone saying a trick to do it.
