That’s the first song I heard of his stuff, in Fight Club. I had to pause the movie, rewind it a bit and air-guitar to it :)
Don’t know anything about unused songs, but Rain Dogs is a classic, perhaps the widest range of styles on a TW album – from blues to polka to rock to pop ballad (in a good way) to gospel to completely crazy things.
And Bone Machine is soooo dark. I love it :)

This is sort of off topic, but how is Fight Club? I’ve read the book but havent seent the movie yet.

I get so much crap for liking Steely Dan and I can’t figure out why. I own 800+ albums and ONE of them is a Steely Dan best of, that seems to be the one that people latch onto. Someone will be looking at my shelves:

“Oh neat, you’ve got some really good taste! I’ve never met anyone who likes such different styles of… Oh, you like Steely Dan?”

    Every single time.

    Hi!

First post here, maybe it’s the good topic to start ;)

I’d say that my favorite band is Marillion. Others are Yes, Mike Oldfield, Pink Floyd, Porcupine Tree, Von Hertzen Borthers, Dredg, Kate Bush, The Mars Volta and many more ;)

My favorite band has got to be The Black Keys. Other bands I like include, but are not limited to: Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, The White Stripes, Bob Dylan, The Black Angels, Buffalo Killers

    Silversun Pickups

Just want to say thanks to electro-melx for telling me about Swervedriver – they’re indescribably awesome. I now listen to a lot of Mogwai, Sonic Youth and Boris too.
Btw, melx, did you listen to those TW albums?

Let’s see, right now I suppose my top 5 (not necessarily in this order) would be:

    1. Tower of Rome
    2. Deerhoof
    3. Duke Ellington
    4. M. Ward
    5. Regina Spektor

I know it might seems like I’m just choosing these artists because they’re so mismatched, and I want to appear eclectic, but that’s not the case, I assure you.
