My pedalboard is getting a bit large. I already got all those you listed, now I want the rest! Ok, no more joking. This is what happened, I ordered 3 pedals: Tube EQ (ok, you win, maybe the tube line has a point…just maybe), Debugger and Micro Pog, none would take the standard juicer. It seems the Micro Pog may get away with it since 9VDC is written on the enclosure, but… now read the product’s literature:
WARNING: Use only the 9.6VDC/200mA AC adapter the Micro POG comes supplied with. Do not use any other AC adapters. Using other AC adapters, even those made by Electro-Harmonix, could cause harm to the unit, the adapter or you. The Micro POG does not use batteries.
This same print is in other pedals that I am not going to list because time is golden. Some even alert about damage to the drummer (mine left the band). If they do work with regular adapters, what is the point of writing those threats and scaring users with possible death caused by their pedals exploding? Inmediatly voiding warranty? I was raised as a catholic and I wouldn’t get over the guilt caused by not following those instructions. Regarding headroom, I have other pedals, like the OKKO Diablo Overdrive, that can work in 9V or 18V just by flicking a tiny switch. And he loves good ole adapters, indeed.

    Have you tried new tubes?

I was going to get new ones just to try but read cuppajack´s thread with the same problem with a tube pedal and it did not solve his.
By the way, great music in your myspace, cheer up!

Cuppajack, just read your thread regarding the muff. I don’t think your AC15 has nothing to do with it since I get my static pops going directly to the sound card with no amp. Here is the chain: EBS MULTICOMP > EHX TUBE EQ > SOLE-MATE REVERB > TONEPORT UX2 > iMAC G5 > GEARBOX
The pops only appear when the Tube EQ is ON, when it’s OFF the chain is dead silent. I was wondering if it could be the tubes but I read you alredy tried changing them witn no results. I also noticed the pedal is badly shielded, if I get the transfomer a bit close to it I can hear a hum coming out directly from the box. The pedal is useless like this, I bought it to shape the tone for recording analogically not having to resort to digital modelling and stuff. I can’t take it back to the shop because I bought it a while ago but it was just sitting there in a box because I stopped recording for a long time. Solutions anyone?
