Yes, that’s an original. SAD1024 delay IC is what makes it so great.

    Thanks! :)

This is totally EHX unrelated, but I feel it captures the spirt of Longcat. :freak:

I tried photoshopping a DMM on there, but the results were pathetic.

Nice XO DMM in the background. I just re-bought the big DMM for recording purposes, so you can go ahead and release the XO now :p

Nice vid. I might just try out some EHX tubes after watching that.

Digital delay has its uses, but digital Modulation is always a trade off – it never sounds as good as analog.

I broke down and bought another DMM, thus guaranteeing a XO release in the near future. :p

Well, I hope we get the XO DMM someday, I just don’t have space for a big one on my PT2. I’m using a TimeFactor right now, it’s ok, but I miss my old DMM sometimes.

Post-Punk. More specifically a cross between Joy Division’s DIY minimalism, U2s occasional anthemic proclivities, Chameleon’s ear for melody, and… well they aren’t Post-Punk (apart from the Machina album), but Smashing Pumpkins-esque love of a good riff. There’s a bit of Syd era Pink Floyd tomfoolery thrown in as well.

Mostly we just sound like ourselves. We give each member of the group free reign to write their own bits, makes for more original writing.

Link is in the sig, but we desperately need to record new material. We’re got an album and a half of new material that hasn’t been recorded yet.

i have one of the jaguar baritones, its my primary instrument in a city safe from sea. as well, im mostly a fender guy. a 60s mustang, a 70s mustang, a tele, and some beataround squiers. ive been on the hunt for an original 70s bass VI for a while.

I’ve got one of those Jag Baritones as well (the Custom, not one of the black ones), I tune it A to A though, E to E doesn’t work very well with the shorter scale length.

And on the Bass VI, do yourself a favor and try and pick up a MIJ Bass VI instead. I don’t know about 70s Bass VI, but I tried a 1962 Bass VI and compared it to my MIJ – there was no contest, the MIJ was MUCH better, and at around $600-$800 on Ebay, it’s quite a steal. I got mine in 1996 (original owner).

    My babies.

I do love the Strat/DMM combo, particularly with a touch of OD and a smidge of compression.

Is that a Bass VI or just a baritone?

Yeah, it’s a Bass VI. It’s a MIJ version from the mid 90s.
