Every time there’s a new video I keep saying it’s my favorite, but this one definitely takes the prize! please tell me if there’s any other pedals that can work with the Y-adapter trick, I definitely need to try the photo cell deal too.

My favorite Effectology series video, from my favorite guitar-related manufacturer!

I’ve always wanted to try a Polyphase (both big box and stereo versions), but I will always love my NYC Small Stone, it got stolen years ago and it was the most musical phaser (while still getting to do the crazy stuff) I’ve owned, my nano is just not same.
BTW, have you guys tried the BOSS ph-2? mode II is the one sound I’ve always wanted to get close to with my SS, I wish there was another pedal with that type of sound.

Step aside Jonny fanboys, here’s the no less impressive Ed O’Brien. Can you spot the EHX?

Here’s mine, I’ve never been happier as I am with this setup, I could see myself expanding it a bit in the near future with a new phaser and an envelope filter, but this gets me a ton of sounds.

So today I played with my SMMH after almost a month (I´d been away at college) and started noticing weird since I couldn´t get my loops in time/synch (this doesn´t happen ever) until it got to the point that I couldn´t erase a loop, I pressed and hold several times and nothing happened, after maybe 10 times of doing so, I got to erase the stored loop, but now it won’t work on loop mode or any of the other settings, I tried cleaning the switch, even checked for any bad solder connections but everthing seems to be in place, any help guys? I think this is the first time I ever see/read about a problem like this. Help me out I’m desperate, looping is pretty much what I got this pedal for.

There is no doubt that this is a footswitch problem. The SMMH will have to be sent for service.
This can happen but when I talked with the main engineer, he said that he had seen it once and only once before. Your problems were spot on to an issue with the footswitch.

I would send it in and it will be repaired right away.

Thanks for the advice, sadly I’m located in Peru, and I don’t think I’ll get back to the US in at least a few months, I tried pulling it apart and carefully cleaning the area near the switch in question, it worked perfectly, but I’m quite concerned about this situation happening at a show or something. I hope it continues to work, otherwise I’m definitely gonna have to send it to my folks so they can get it repaired at EHX, thanks again.

Not as nice as you guys’ boards

One of many configurations since I have 4 or 5 pedals not being used right now, but this “board” is the most versatile with the fewest amount of pedals.

Heres a tip that ain’t in the manual. Have it on 300ms+mod and use the tap tempo switch to set the time, this way you can reach about 600ms.

This is correct, great hidden feature huh

I will do ASAP, I never actually got around to do so in fear of damaging it to a further level while taking it apart.

I was having problems with the whole volume thing on looping, I couldn’t find a happy medium it seemed. So my solution was to use the stereo outputs of my clone theory to split the signal- one signal with no SMMH straight to my instrument channel, and one signal with the SMMH followed by a volume pedal, with all my presets set to 100% wet going into my bass channel. Not only has it allowed to me match the volume better, but to also get quite a different tone on the loop, separate from my normal tone. Also, the volume pedal adds some interesting opportunities. I can create some pretty crazy loops and bring them up appropriately during portions of songs where it works.

Soon I’m going to make a pedal to swap the locations of the SMMH and the volume pedal so I can do trails and stuff

    :D

    Woah, that’s really clever!
So your signal chain goes like this?
Clone Theory A>> SMMH >> Volume Pedal>> Bass Channel
    Clone Theory B>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Normal Channel

I need to try that with my JC-55, maybe the SMMH going straight to the Low gain input
