I don’t think so, you need some expression pedal.

Excuse me, i forgot to show the amp itself,
it is a Marshall JCM 900.
The other pedals used are Bass Big Muff and BBE Tremor.

Later i removed the 1nF cap, because i decided to use this Double Muff
as a distorting treble booster to boost my Big Muff Pi.

These days, i modded it again. You can read about this in my new thread:

    The emitters of the gain stages are R3 + R21 on EC3003 REV_E .

I found this by insert ” Big Muff EC3003 REV_E ” into my searchengine.

The nano reissue pedals have same analog circuits than the
original ones. Big Muff Pi is analog of course.
The new developments are in regular analog.

The #1Echo is a digital delay.
Complex ones like the pitch fork are digital.

You can look at kitrae.net for the wiring diagram
    for the black russian versions.
But only with no true bypass.

Maybee it is the circuit itself. I have the same issue.
It is a very softly scratchy sound on the tone knob.
Not a hard crackle as on my Super Hard On booster.

I do not understand what the wiring of the switch
had to do with the destroyed knob.
    Do you have photos?

I do not think, the switch was the problem.

    The mod is done.

Changing the trani was too difficult to me.
The original BC550B seems to be well decided.

10nF in C1 and C2 makes a good treble boost
    for any Big Muff Pi.
I tried to bias the trani in another way.
That makes no sense at all.

It took me a while to think about, how i can solve the problem.
There are some boosters out there, but i like to play an EHX one.
I bought a LPB-1 and will modify the unit to a slightly treble
boost by using smaler caps. I ordered a original 2N5133 Transistor
too. These parts are realy not available in germany, but i will
    get one from england.

In the end i did some more mods on this unit.
It is now suitable for guitar.

C8 is described as ons part of the low pass filter.
It is 100nF. I replaced it in this unit.

R8 is the other part of the low pass filter from the
tone stack. In the russian Muff it is 20K. I
soldered some resistor parallel, to change from
    11,5K to 20K.

And i did a mod, that changes this unit from green russian
Muff specs. It is R22, the emiter from transistor 1.
Here i soldered 220 ohm resistor parallel to reduce R22.

R42 affects the bass bosst and changes it to an overall boost
unlike another version of green russian Muff.
