I got a Deluxe Memory Boy and wanted to experiment with my expression pedal options.

A friend loaned a Yamaha expression pedal and it KIND of works but I can’t get the full knob range.
Meaning, I want to use my EXP ped to go from 0 to 10 in the feedback knob. I set the knob in 10 but the whole range I get with my EXP pedal is 7 to 10. If I set the pedal at 5 i will get 2-5 (approximately). That happens with any parameter I assign to the pedal
If I buy another brand EXP pedal will I be able to get the whole range of the knobs? Is there any possibility there is a defect in my EHX Deluxe Memory Boy?
