I finally check out this blog. AMAZING!! <3

My Pulsar has incredible amounts of distortion. Seems to depend on the input level!? If I turn the volume knob of my Fender Elite Strat down to 6, the distortion is gone. But between 6 and 10 the amount of distortion is unbearable. None of my other pedals (digital or analog) behave like that. Is this a common behavior of the stereo pulsar? My elite strat has has a built in pre-amp, but I don´t know if this could cause the distortion…

I don’t think that would make a diference at all. I use mine with an Active Stingray bass and a P-bass + EQ pedal to bring the volume up to my SR’s and I get no distortion. Not even on the low notes, which tend to distort most pedals not made for Bass.

Here’s a better question: How could you get a Dubstep sound with EHX pedals?
It’d be cool to have the Effectology guy onto this since 75% of my pedalboard is EHX xD

It was all my bad, I was using the wrong power supply. Sorted now, with many self-facepalms.

I thought this incluided it’s own PSU O_ñ´

in reply to: Russian Big Muff Problem #113531

Well, I have both a Little Big Muff and a Bass Big Muff and they both run after my EBS MultiDrive and have no problem cascading it on top of each other. My only “problem” is cascading my LBM into the BBM, because of tracking the noise I get is, well… hard to track.
I haven’t noticed any thumping on my Muffs when I stop playing 🙄

in reply to: Micro POG #113456

I got mine on Friday 31st after like two months of G.A.S.ing for it!
I was thinking about the POG 2 as well (I actually tried the POG 2 against a Multiplexer to see if I preferred Analog upon Digital… but I didn’t), but I thought there were many features I wouldn’t really be using on bass; I’ve also got a bunch of other pedals I knew I would cascade the Micro POG into and, with a Stereo Electric Mistress, I don’t think I’ll need the De-tune Sliders.
I’ve always liked EHX approach to effects: A few knowbsies are enough. So in an almost EHX-only pedalboard, I know how to find the sound I have in my head. This one + the Bass Big Muff and a touch of the SEM is so fucking addictive! I’ve finally got to sound like the synth I wanted to :metal: (I know there’s the Bass MicroSynth, but I don’t like it’s Octave sounds)
If only there weren’t two guitarists in my band I’d be using that +1 Octave a lot more; I have it at 9:30~10:00 for a bit of “Brightness”.

I think I’ve updated this for about 4 times now…

1- Bass Big Muff (which is a killer combined with…)
    2- Micro POG
    3- Stereo Electric Mistress
    4- Little Big Muff
    5- Stereo Pulsar
    6- LPB-1

    I’d like to add
    0.5- Korg Pitchblack (Can´live without a Tuner)
3.5- EBS MultiDrive (For the extra kick in)

Hey, I just tried your recommendation on the “Zero Depth” and turns out it actually has a slight boost as well; Not enough to actually use it as a boost though, but definitelly a sliiiiiiiiiiight boost. thank for de-mythifying the myth on Tremolos guys! :rawk:

in reply to: On-line Registration not working. #113452

It’s not working for me either! I bought my Micro POG yesterday and I came here tryin’ to do the on-line register and I get the same “Error querrying database” page

This has been an issue with the memory boys all along. The delay time is affected by cold tempetatures. If you warm up the pedal (literally, like by a heater), your delay time will come back.

    WHAAAAAAAAAAAAT!!???
Hahahaha, tht’s a rather interesting fun fact, hahaha

Have you tried the Morpheus DropTune? I’m not sure if it can do what you’re looking for, but I think it might indeed

in reply to: Dub-Step Wobble Bass? #113330

I’m really close to get the Synth Sound I’ve been trying to achieve since I first started playing bass! Fuzzed bass sure sounds synth, but the best comes with modulation. I use a Stereo Pulsar for quick flashes of volume and add a Stereo Electric Mistress for space in a slow, lush swooshing. I prefer using my Little Big Muff with the Tone & Sustain all the way down because I think it sounds more synthetic than my Bass Big Muff (used for a more guitarresque distortion).
Also, I’m getting a Micro POG this New Year for the extra SubBass. I do believe this combination will get me the sound I have in my head. Another (much cheaper ) way of getting a synth sound could be to get a Bass MicroSynth and add an extra modulation? I hope I don’t need an Envelope Filter since I don’t really like the Funky tones…

PS: Sorry if I sound a little hyper on this, but I haven’t slept since Christmas morning :worried:

Are you using the SubOctave or the +1 Octave setting on those? If you’re using the SubOctave then maybe it’s just that the bass is harder to hear and you percieve it as “Slow”. Happened to me at first with my Analog Delay since the repeats were darker and “heavier”. Hope this helps in a way. :thumb:

I’d sell the MXR as brand new and buy something else with the money I’d get. since it’s brand new you could ask for almost the same price as a Store would. If you keep’em both I think I’d try to track you down and jam along! xD
I think we have circa the same number of effects… save I’m a bassist =P
