    i know

the amp has gone back to fender today and should be back in about 2-3 weeks

i got loads of gigs coming up but lukcly still got my old amp

the effects loop on it seems to be AWFUL

cause when turning my delay on, it sounds so weak and rubbish

so think im ight just have to whack everyhtig up front until my amp gets back

i had several guitar techs look at it and many electronix experts and they said its far too sensitive to magentic fields and everything else like basically it has to be in anther house 4 miles away to be looped out and no hum

Sorry if this has been posted before but after all that talk about it costing £135 or whatever Dolphin had that stupid pre-order price up as I thought i’d better set the record straight…. anyway as I suspected it was utter balls.

….and I’m happy to report the UK price from Hotrox is just £65

    http://www.hotroxuk.com/electro-harmonix-memory-boy-11619-0.html

(and in the interest of fairness, probably also available for the same/similar price from other UK retailers….other than dolphin!)

    HOTROX is an awesome shop
    i visit it regularly
they have some awesome stuff and there awesome people who work there too

    dolphin is utter rubbish lol
it took them over 4 months to deliever me a pedal when everyime i sposke to them they said it had been delieverd and they had it in stock

well as long as you’re getting enough juice from a 9v supply you should be good. Other thing is that you can get an adapter tip for other power supplies from 1spot. The Holy Grail requires a C35 adapter from them.

    cheers matey

ill see if anywhere local to me does these as im in the uk

    thanks again !!!

it takes a specific powr supply
    the 9v dc 500mA one
its a smaller tip, like the male tip i think it is
not like the normal one tip thing
do you know what i mean ???

    thanks for your help

    hey hey
i have the english muff and im really impressed with it

i tried mine with the settings in the pic you have an yh it sounds good

    mine is currently set at
vol 11-2 (depending on whati m using it for)
    gain 2 to full
    high 10-12
    mid 10-12
    low 9

i think its an awesome pedal
had a slight problem at the start when channeling it with my other pedals but thats because if i engaged the boss od3 it would sound very like i was underwater you know ? but i changed the signal path and some variations on my amp too

    marshall avt150
clean setting was gain n vol at 12

but i changed it to gain at 6-9 oclock and vol full, just change the master depending depending where im playing and now it sounds awesome
    it still sounded awesome anyways

any looking ot buy this pedal
defo get it you will not be disapointed
just fiddle with the settings to find the perfect sound u want and ull be amazed at this pedal !!!

    hey hey only me again

    just a quickie
whats the thing with a compressor ?

i watched pete stroud’s vid on it (the black finger) and thought it was pretty good, the first sound demo he does.

will i need a compressor in m unit of fx ?
i like the sound/tone i get atm but would a compressor enhance this ?

also whats it techinacly for ?
anyone recommend pretty cheap ones ???

    thanks
