I just scored a vintage (green logo) Electric Mistress, the one powered via a 3.5 mm jack or two 9 v batteries. As I got it for about 120 bucks, I was rather shocked to see these pedals go for 300-500 on eBay. Conclusion is I’m either one lucky SOB, or there’s a catch. I haven’t received the pedal yet, so I dont know about serial numbers et c. I did however notice that my pedal has the cylindrical knobs with white markers, like the (current) Big Muff – does that help date the pedal? When were these original Mistresses produced by the way? Only into the 80s, or have there been reissues?

Any help dating this pedal and/or estmating its value appreciated.

Edit: Here’s a pic I got from the seller after he shipped the pedal. Can you make anything from that?

Note that I will of course provide additional info and photos when I get the pedal.

Bump! I just got the pedal. Unscrewed it, attached the batteries and eveything seems to be working. Still haven’t got a clue when this pedal was made or what it’s worth, but I tried to take a couple of photos.

What immediately strikes my untrained eye is the absence of internal trimpots, and that the cirquit board looks a lot, hmm, “tidier” than the ones I’ve seen on eBay, but I’m not sure what that means.

    Help, anyone?

Edit 1: This one looks pretty similar to mine, doesn’t it?

Edit 2: I took some new pictures with an actual camera instead. I also found the following printed inside:

    Cirquit board: EH 5100D
Filter switch: 51-505 STACKPOLE UND. LAB. INC. LIST.
    Color pot: P0130 1378038
    Range pot: P0150 1378038
    Rate pot: P0200 1378044

Also : CTS pots are starting with 137 then year (2 digits) then week (from 01 to 52)

Means your Mistress is a 33 year old woman ;-)
