In the 21st Century, we don’t need no stinkin’ foot controllers, we need toe controllers! This was discussed in the “HOG 2” thread, but this is worthy of its own thread. Its a genius idea.

Suggested features:

HOG Compatibility – At a bare minimum, this would be an ideal and very long awaited small footprint solution to the HOG foot controller. EHX could even still offer the 2880 foot controller (it works perfectly with the HOG) if users prefer having all presets available at any one time. Ideally, you could still hold down the HAZ button to save a preset, scroll with the HAZ button to select one, step on the footswitch to turn it on or off.

Other Pedal Compatibility? – In the future, pedals with “FOOT CONTROLLER” options could use this. Perhaps existing pedals could use it with some wizardry.

More Presets – The HOG foot controller can recall 6 presets, but was this merely a concession to the footswitch placement on the standard big-box EHX enclosure? Could the HOG technically hold more presets that the HAZ button could quickly scroll through?

Dry Erase Marker Slots – How genius would this be?! Small white areas for you to write down the name of your presets with a fine point dry erase marker. Quick rub with a cloth and write some more when you change them!

Powered by “Mother” Pedal – If possible, it could be powered by the pedal its controlling (like the HOG foot controller), but even having a standard 9v connection would be a welcome tradeoff on a tight board.
