    yeah, um, so i found a killer deal – the WF for like 1/3 of a price… since i don’t have any experience with the compressors, i’m curious how will this end – i’m gonna try it

    so a stupid question… is the white finger any good? :facepalm:

    The White Finger is excellent. I use the BlackFinger more often because I like the darker, warmer tone of the tubes – but the FETs are glassy smooth.

    heh, no i found an ad… someone from my town is selling it

    let’s say that on kytary.cz the price is like… 180 dollars and he is selling it for 60… it seems like an awesome deal to me even if i’m not sure if i’m really into this compressor thing… in the worst scenario, i’ll sell it again

    Ok, so i got it today and it seems to be pretty cool :) some settings are nice and natural, some aren’t… however, for the money it’s unbelievable :)

    the only thing that annoys me is the increase of hiss… but i guess it’s typicall issue with the compressors (it makes a perfect sense)

    The increase of hiss is the hiss already present in your signal. By moving the dynamic range closer together even the hiss at the bottom of the spectrum gets brought up to a louder level. That’s why compressors go first in the chain, so the hiss of overdrives/distortions isn’t added to it. Shield you guitar and put the compressor as the only thing in your chain and I bet the noise will disappear. I don’t mind a little noise though, it’s analog feel in a digital age :)

    yeah, i get it… that’s why i said “increase” because i know that the hiss is already present :)

    the only situation when it is a real problem is when i stack dirt for solos… because i don’t think i’ll use the finger for distorted rhytm stuff – i don’t know, i like it more on clean or solo

    i don’t play live, so it’s not a problem… but i can’T imagine how bad it would be on a stage (i think i’ll explore it in summer)

    im getting it tomorrow and im interested in it too

    i tried the black finger and i liked it, i just couldnt get it to work with od/dis

    when i did the volume would completely go off and was crazy

    but cant wait to get the white one tomoz as im getting a few more pedals aswell
    will be good
    what are your favourtie settings for it ?

    i’ve got it for two days and i already play the guitar just to hear the sweet full sound :D

    it’s hard to say already what are my favourite settings… but the way i have it set now is

    SQUASH off, LED mode, POST GAIN at noon, PRE GAIN at 10:30, SENSITIVITY at 13:30 and COMPRESS at 9 (it’s not a hard compression as i said before)

    this way set it’s ok with the dirt, BUT then the dirt lacks some of its agressivity…
