    I read the online instructions for my Stereo Electric Mistress and it said that it accepts Boss type AC adapters but it also has a scary warning about using only the AC adapter that comes with the Stereo EM (which i dont have cuz i bought the pedal from a friend). I also use 3 boss pedals and one of them being the Boss TU-2 chromatic stompbox tuner that powers my other Boss pedals through a PSA-120 adapter… so my question is, will it damage my Stereo Electric Mistress if i plug it with the PCS-20A power cord from my Boss TU-2?

    pleeease help a girl out ^_^

    That’s a standard warning many manufacturers use. As long as the power supply has the correct voltage, polarity, and can supply the needed current there should be no problem. The only problem might be from noise if using a cheap AC adapter.

    as ‘E-H man’ said it’s a general warning to stop people damaging their pedals by using an incorrect power supply. fortunatly the SEM uses a standard ‘boss/ibanez’ type negative centre 9v PSU, the only problem you might have is if the pedals are drawing too much ‘MA’ by daisy chaining them off one power supply…..the Boss TU-2 doesn’t actually power your other pedals it just provides an outlet to power your other pedals from the same PSU that you are using to power the TU-2.

    try powering the SEM as you are planning and again with the PSU straight into it and see if you notice any difference (excessive noise etc) if you don’t hear any difference them you will be fine.

    p.s. if you find you need the power supply for the SEM you can order them from new sensor.

    thanks! Ill try powering them like you said. I live in south america and there is no music dealer in my country that sales EH stuff, most pedals are either boss or Line6´s PODs (yucky) so i guess ill have to get another boss AC adapter.
