Just got this pedal because I was missing the Hall Reverb…

in 2 amps the Stereo is Amazing!

And the infinite reverb…a must for drone session…hehe!

I’ll post some clips later, there’s just so much stuff to do with this!

how is the reverse reverb for MBV tones? is it similar to the early reflections yamaha spx90 sound?

I just played a bit with it and never used any reverse fx before but it has lots of parameters you can play with. for a 1st approach, all the reverb on this are top notch!

I’ve gone on the extreme side, blend all the way up and your note arrives in a reverb wash like 1/2 sec after…crazy.

I’ll need to experiment more with it, for now I just needed the Hall reverb for my drone gig…

    more clips to come ASAP

from the demos i’ve seen i have a feeling that it sounds too digital and very un-natural… so what’s your opinion? how it sounds for real?

looking forward to the clips! :)

if you tweek it properly it will sound warm and natural.

but it can also be extreme and un-natural…

I like the concept of keeping my holy settings in memory.

One thing, I’ve notice, the left and right line are not completly seperate so I can’t put my Bass Big Muff on left and my Big Muff Wicker on right like I had planned…but the Stereo landscaping is amazing!

That’s why I will soon use 3 amps. one for Bass, and 2 for each stereo side…!

    clips soon to come…

haha, I know, I have a recording of it with 2 mics that were taking the room, it’s not as good as a real close mic but I always end-up doing the soundman as being the artist…! so I had really no time to close mic everything…it’s better than a cheap camera mic!

but I can record some clips at home in Reaper using Amplitube plug-ins…good for showing of the pedal features not the amps…

and soon or later I’m going to record with the amps and good mics, it’s just a matter of time.

i’ll wait breathless… since i cruised the youtube I found some cool demos… needless to say that the promo demos from NAMM aren’t very good IMHO

so i’m GASing for it… i just need a confirmation that it’s worth of it :D

That sounds more than promising. EHX appear to have delivered the goods yet again.
    I will now be selling a keyboard…infinite reverb…yes!

ok here’s a quick clip…it was record at home in Reaper on 2 track hard panned Left and Right to seperate the 2 tracks.

I’m using just the Cathedral in my custom Hall mode setup in true stereo in/out.

Bass Big Muff on Left, Big Muff Tone Wicker on Right.

there’s also a clean part starting at 8 min…yeah I know it’s a long clip but I would play this all day long just to here the stereo bouncing…lol!

next I will use this setup in my 2 amps…and I usually have the Hoax and the DMM on the right side…but for a review on the Cathedral I keep them off.

it’s not well structure but I figure, you just need to here how it sounds anyway…

next I will post the reverse mode…and the Echo mode is cool too, but can only use the L mono input to get the crazy bouncing delay…yes it’s a delay too.

Nice one chev! i really love your music, it’s so hypnotic… really great job :)

and the sound of Cathedral is amazing… it really sounds pretty natural and warm when you know how to tweak it… gearmanndude also has got some nice demo on the youtube…

    i’m GASing badly

Thanks, chev, some great sounds and great usage of the Cathedral not to mention the interesting time factor you work with on the drone(s).

hey thanks. I’m glad you like it.

here’s another one in the same setting but with the infinite reverb engaged…

the solo over it is a bit too dry imo because to lower the infinite layer you have to lower the blend level of the cathedral. I would have to record it alone and paly over it afterward to get a reverbed solo. But that’s what you can do in a live situation.

In this one I manage to keep more reverb with the blend and with the DMM and the Hoax…

with the DMM and Hoax for the solo over it to keep a kind of reverb…

I did it really fast because I had to leave for work…but I didn’t want to…haha.

    thanks
