I just bought a green big muff and it was AWESOME. But now the switch doesn’t work. It won’t stay “depressed”! Does anyone know a quick solution? I hope it’s repairable!

A lot of people replace those switches with more modern ones. It should be an easy fix that requires one part.

Someone created a nice little thing about modding russian muffs

    this should help!

You can buy replacement switches from smallbear electronics you will need to use the switch cap you already have though, wire it so its true bypass you just wont have an LED unless you wire in a millennium bypass system. Who needs LED’s on big muffs anyways?

If you need a diagram to TB your russian muff let me know, I drew one up thats real simple to follow.

Thanks chaps! I think I’m just going to replace the switch with a good old DPDT though. I don’t feel like doing the extra work for true bypass.

You should still buy the switch I linked to because its a sovtek switch specifically for your kind of big muff, that way it will look and be stock.

Yeah, I think I will. When I look closer at the construction of the Sovtek Muff, It’d be alot more work to use a “standard” DPDT switch than just shelling out an extra $10 for the OEM replacement. Thanks for your help!
