i feel scratches add character to the pedal, just like when the paint is chipped on guitars, it looks cooler

Stewart Macdonald makes a sweat tool just for this issue, and its safe to….it was originally made to remove knobs and bushings from guitars without harming the finish.
I have one that I am thinking about putting on “the bay” with a starting bid of $100! What do you guys think? HAHAHA!
This is a great tip using something soft like a shoelace makes a lot of sense and avoids unnecessary damage.
