    Hello everybody again!

After a long period (over three years more or less), I’ve completely updated my pedal boards. While some of them have had minor changes, others have been drastically reworked or arranged for new projects. Let’s start!.

I’m currently playing with three different bands. Each one has its own guitar, amp & FX setup as follows: 1 amp, 2 guitars (each one has a different tuning) and 3 pedal boards per band (I tag them “I”, “II” and “III”). What I usually do is trying different combinations – a total of six possibilities per band.

This is what I use when I play with “ZARAPOLIS” (pop-rock, similar to U2, Pink Floyd, and some 80’s and 90’s bands). I use a pair of modified Jazzmasters with D Standard and C Standard tuning:

    I:

    Signal path: Guitar -> VoodooLab Sparkle Drive -> Boss TU-2 -> EH DMM RI (131 BPM version) -> EH SMM/Hazarai -> Amp (Sovtek MiG 100 + Framus 2 x 12″ cab).

    II:

    Signal path: Guitar -> Boss TU-2 -> MXR Distortion+ -> EH DMM RI (120 BPM version) -> Maxon AD-999 Analog Delay -> Amp (Sovtek MiG 100 + Framus 2 x 12″ cab).

    III:

Signal path: Guitar -> Boss TU-2 -> EH Octave Multiplexer RI (early 2000’s) -> EH Big Muff Pi USA RI v9 (first RI from 2000’s) -> EH Stereo Polychorus RI (early 2000’s) -> MXR Carbon Copy Analog Delay -> Dedalo FX Maquina del Tiempo Delay -> Amp (Sovtek MiG 100 + Framus 2 x 12″ cab).

This is what I use when I play with “LANA LEE” (instrumental psychedelic rock). I use another pair of modified Jazzmasters with E Standard and C Standard tuning:

This is what I use when I play with “CAMILLE” (post-rock/hardcore). I use a heavily modified Stratocaster (E Standard tuning) and a modified Jazzmaster (D Standard tuning):

… And this is what I use when I’m playing at home or without a band:

This is my almost current main pedalboard. The only difference is I’ve replaced the Little Big Muff Pi with the Nano Big Muff Pi.

The case is a converted travel case for a numark DJ thingie. The whole Kit N Kaboodle is powered by VooDoo labs Power Plus 2, except for the MXR eq and Disnortion which have their own power supplies.

The freeze is in and out, Not sure whether to keep it or not. I’m really tempted to replace it with a superego and add a micro pog, if I only made more money..

Just 3 box on my Pedal Board!

    #119919

Wow there are some amazing boards here!
This is my current board although I have more power on order as I need to get my Electric Mistress and a phaser on here.
For those interested the most impressive pedal here is the Soul Food. I keep telling everyone its the make it better button – I cannot recommend this highly enough. It is breathtaking with a valve amp but pretty impressive with solid state too!

    finally…

cant wait to test it :)
guess a soul food or the eastriver drive… not really sure (maybe a hot tubes nano???)

I was torn on the East River Drive too but I guess it depends on what you are looking for – watch the demos, especially this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fiP8qYVgKFA&list=PL0nQqFcfq-6D-PdLTbFXmgIvtH5tnDBAk#t=303 go to the 5:03 mark. I have a Musicman Luke through a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe Nova and it sounds just like this.

I leave it on for the whole set apart from one acoustic song. It genuinely makes everything better – cleans break up when I want them to (dependent on playing dynamics), crunches have more life and full dirt solos sound amazing!

hmm… i guess the overdrive will be a hard one to choose.
as i play through a small squier practice amp i think the next thing to buy will be a new amp.
    MAYBE…
    the fender ramparte looks nice.
i think about using a nano switch blade as kind of channel selector. the “cool” channel for cleans and the “hot” channel…

    plus

    it just looks ultra cool.
    what do you think?

I would definately upgrade the amp next!

    Final board.

A little EHX heavy some may say but every pedal on here is my #1 choice and there are certain sounds that EHX do better than anyone else.

This was played live for the first time for two and a bit hours on Saturday and was a dream to use.

My favourite is still the Soul Food which continues to be the ‘make it better’ pedal. I play through a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe Nova which is geared a bit hotter than a standard HRD and the Soul Food just pushes the clean into that transparent overdrive breakup that makes everyone go all happy!

Thanks EHX – one very happy chappy here!

I think my last post was called ‘Final board’ Nope!
I had some interference from the Memory Boy as I was running the pedals from a daisy chain PSU. I have now upgraded to a Hot Stone with isolated power and I was in NEED of a B9.
So here is the next iteration of my now very heavily biased EHX pedal board.
    These are the best pedals!!

The hot tubes is a delectable thick moist saturation pedal, both the east river and soul food are far more subtle.
