I think it’s mono. Check the answer in the thread, you have some contact that might be helpful.

    Thanks for the info…
Sadly I have to say that I ordered two B5K MONO and two B5K STEREO from http://www.futurlec.com, but I did it AFTER reading your post, cause I WAS SO NERVOUS and DESPERATE that didn’t read all the post.
Anyway I wrote to info@musikhof.de but they tell me to send’em the pedal, and I’m trying to get ONLY the slider pot.

In this moment I have the POG2 without the “+2 OCTAVE UP” slider (I desoldered it), and when I plug it in, the PRESET SWITCH starts blinking… Then I press it but it DOESN’T STOP BLINKING NOR CHANGE PRESETS… I have to wait around 2 minutes till the PRESET Switch stops blinking and is ready to change PRESETS, but maybe, after 7 minutes starts blinking again (and changing the PRESET sound where I was playing).

Anway I think there’s something wrong too with the pedal, apart of the broken slider, of course:
Do you think it’s a consequence after breaking the slider?

By the way: I did’t break the pedaaaal !!!… Someone did it in the band’s rehearsal room !!! grrrrr…

    Here’re some pics:

    Not any answer yet ??
Though people would be interested in a way to fix broken sliders.

Anyway I did my homework but cannot see any interest in this forum to sort this problem out.

Hi mortad! I had the same problem 2 years ago…still haven’t found the solution, man….this is so annoying.

    check: http://www.ehx.com/forums/viewthread/2635/

after that, I bought the microsynth slider from newsensor’s website but obviously it didn’t work…it was a plastic bigger slider.

Then…a few months later I found another user with the same problem who posted on this forum, like you and me…

    http://www.ehx.com/forums/viewthread/2390/

Then A few months after there was another post here (which has disappeared) where another user with the same problem contacted the European tech support in Germany:

    http://www.musikhof.eu

    at info@musikhof.de

and he managed to buy the replacements for his broken sliders. I contacted them twice with months between both emails…the first one they were asking me for 30€ to send it to Spain…the second time it was 50€ for the same thing. considering the alpha sliders are sh** quality and considering we are not stupid it’s easy to know that this pot is costing them at most 2€ and come on…shipping costs for an envelope with one or two faders from Germany to Spain are not more than 10€…it looks like an amazing business to me to get a 40€ benefit from the sale of two sliders, isn’t it?

I send the last email saying that I thought it was and abusive price…with CC to info@ehx.com …but got no answer from anywhere.

Now…I’m as lost as you are…I keep checking online every once in a while just to see if there’s news regarding this issue but…nothing.

I just contacted newsensor to see if I can get an answer. I can’t believe the only option is to expend 100€ sending the pedal to repair to the EH support service.

I would appreciate some response from the EH team regarding this problem…it’s not just one person who’s having the same problem…we’re a bunch of users with the same issue and no solution.

    Hey Isrvel ! (soy de Logroñ±o !)
I bought a B5K slide pot like THIS on Futurlec.com

This slide pot is almost identical to the original ALPHA pots from EHX pedals, but there’s an internal difference: IT’s REVERSED.
But you can invert it just cutting one leg and adding another leg (with a little wire) and IT WORKS !!
After that I soldered the 3 holes and later I applied some silicon to keep it fixed to the PCB.

Of course is not so “proffesional” like if you have the original ALPHA slide pot, but is 0’30 € agaist 30 € !!!

    Hope this could help.

    Regards !

Mortad! Macho…que coñ±o hacemos hablando en inglés!! :oP

Man…the problem i have is I want to sell the POG2 as soon as I repair it…so I can’t do that and fix it with silicone. :o(

Let’s see if someone from EH says anything…I can’t believe you had to do that to fix the pedal…why is that impossible to find that same slider????? damn

Hi, I joined forum specifically for this thread.

    Will this work?
    http://nz.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Alpha-Taiwan/RA300BF-10-20D1-B5K/?qs=sGAEpiMZZMuycWE/mH8IEi4TspX4/v%2br

If that link doesn’t work, this is the Alpha part number RA300BF-10-20D1-B5K (search on the mouser site).

    Regards.

    Dave.

I’m replying to an old post, so I suspect this is not relevant to you now. I have just mended my boyfriends pog 2 which had 3 broken pot sliders. They are 5k pots, I got the replacements from Mouser Electronics. They are inexpensive and straightforward to replace.

    Hello Julie !
Thanks for the answer. I replaced it with this slider as I wrote before in this post, but still have some strange issues: when I switch the pedal the light starts to blink and I have to wait 1 minute for it to stop.

I’m taking a look to http://www.mouser.es and they’re from Spain, so am I. Are you from Spain too?
By the way: whick 5k mono slider model did you bought from http://www.mouser.es to fix the POG 2 ?
    Many many thanks Julie !!;-)

I’m based in the UK, but happy to help if I can. My boyfriend checked this forum before he gave me the pog and said it looked like it was tricky to locate the exact pots but I found it relatively straightforward. Audio is not normally what I do but I’m very familiar with electronics (I mended a bands mixing desk the other week and that was inexpensive also). The pots I got from Mouser work great and the digital signals all works fine. I’ll check to see why you have an intermitting signal..

I sent you the part number of the pot sliders I fitted in my last message. If your Pog is still playing up I would compare data sheets to see if they have the same tech spec as the ones you fitted. If they are the same then I would suggest re-flowing the pots you fitted as you need to make sure the solder connection flows through to the underside of the P.C.B. also.
