    Hi there,

I recently bought a new Q-tron but I’m finding it really hard not to light up the ‘overload’ led anytime i play a note. I’m using an active Tobias Growler bass and I’m wondering if the preamp is just too hot for the pedal to handle. I’m also not getting the great tones I’ve heard others achieve and starting to think this is related.

Any ideas? Am I going to fry the pedal if I keep playing it?

    Thanks!
    Chad

overloading a pedal doesn’t hurt the pedal, but it can cause distortion. The overload should light up at times when you’re playing your hardest because that’s letting you know that you’re picking hard enough to get the full sweep.
