The question now is, should I sell the Memory Boy to make way for the Deluxe?

I’m keeping mine, if only for the square-wave modulation.

It looks like the Deluxe has it too. The Depth knob changes shape past 12 noon.

no, you should keep both of course……

…btw incase anyone was wondering why I’m up at 2.50 am, I’m trying to avoid waking up and finding the kitchen swamped ……… lets just say, DON’T start defrosting your freezer late evening because it takes longer than you might think.

unfortunatly, I don’t think you can…. it’s probably what gets sent to shops with thier pedal orders, might be worth dropping into your local stockist to see if they have any.

I think I’m more excited about the Iron Lung. Even though I have 3 memory delay pedals I think I may need to get the deluxe as well. I’m a junkie. 😮

I didn’t get a Memory Boy yet, so I think I might have to go with the Deluxe Memory Boy.

Anyone know how much the Iron Lung is going to cost?

i think that a lot of people who got the memory boy are going to sell it and buy the deluxe.

 EHX are KILLING me lol! I want now both the deluxe memory boy and the Cathedral. And several other effects from them. I also keep trying to convince myself 3 delay pedals are not TOO much.

OMG! the Deluxe Memory Boy is exactly what I was missing with my XO Deluxe Memory Man!

I need a tap-tempo but I want to keep the warm analog lush of my DMM.

At least I can get a good price for my DMM when the time comes for a swap…hehe!

And plus, I still have my expression pedal I used with my HolyStain I’ve sold…another good reason to keep it.

    can’t to ear the reviews!

does anyone else want to protest this January release date? Santa doesn’t have a time machine.

You’ll just have to ask for a $180 gift certificate and hold onto it for about a month.

Tap-tempo analog delay? Is that possible, and if so, why aren’t there more of them?

it’s possible (as I explained above) the reason there aren’t more is probably because most manufacturers wouldn’t see the point, they’d just make it all digital…..and boutique makers usually only deal with analogue stuff, there has been stuff like this before though…and it’s usually expensive.

….the empress tremolo is an analogue tremolo that’s digitally controlled. (so you can have tap)

    http://www.empresseffects.com/?page=tremolo

Does this mean there is an ADDA chip inserted somewhere in the unit? And does that explain the relatively high price tag quoted?
