Hello all,
I bought a (supposedly) new Stereo Electric Mistress on ebay. Once I got a power supply, I’ve found it sounds horrible. With all 3 knobs at 0, it’s just noisy. As you increase the flange and rate, it’s unbearable.

Note: I’ve tried multiple cables, long, short, cheap, expensive, no change in sound. Also tried plugging in the power supply to a surge strip, direct to the wall, and even thru a filtered power supply, again no change in noise levels.

Any suggestions or ideas? Did I get ripped off, or is it supposed to sound this horrible?
