I’m getting an XO graphic fuzz as soon as they arrive the shops, I can’t wait.

I just wish the new Frequency analyzer had a standard 9v power requirement

yeah, that would be very handy from a powering POV.

I suspect that it just isn’t possible without totally redesigning the circuit…..and then everyone would go “it doesn’t sound the same now why did they do this!?”

I guess you can’t have everything, I’m happy that it’s smaller…that will do for me.

That would totally change the sound. The Frequency Analyzer circuit basically runs on 15v AC, and you need at least 30v DC to achieve that. The 15v AC gives the FA it’s very very clean sound, which no other ring mod really achieves.

I’ll probably pick one up eventually, though I’d never get rid of my big box Frequency Analyzer. It is special to me.

Anyone know when these are being released? My shop called the week before Thanksgiving. They were told, the during the week of Thanksgiving. Nothing yet.
I called GC and asked about the BM w/ TW and the guy never even heard of it.

I’ve had my Graphic Fuzz on backorder for about 3 months now, I’m getting a little anxious.

Are you replacing the rat with GF?

not replacing exactly, but it will fill that slot in my ehx bag if that’s what you mean. :)

…..nothing can replace a rat, I found that out after a long time buying and selling pedals…..the rat is still my ‘go to’ recording overdrive/distortion and it’s also my ‘plug in and play husker du songs for fun’ pedal….the EHX bag is my early revolution set up which is more fuzz/clean orientated. :D

…..or maybe I’m just trying to convince myself I need more effects.

I’ve got a feeling the Tone Wicker will be able to get Rat sounds

The Tone Wicker is more than just your ordinary Muff. Yes, this thing will eat the Rat for breakfast and digest it to a harmonically designed distortion box…. Very cool.

    Haha!

I know that there’s lots of RAT love amongst us, but I’ll take any EHX pedal over a RAT any day! I can’t wait to play through one of these babies.

The funny thing is I own a Rat Pedal and I a loved it for a long time. I used it on bass for years to give me that bite. The beauty of any pedal is, it answers a question you have about your own tone. These days I use Bass Big Muff for bass, not because I work here, but it really gives me that bite, but I can take it to new area on the fly. As I get older, I tend to start playing heavier. No more Barry Manilow cover band. :)
