Wondering if anyone has, or has experience with a modded Bassballs…

Basically adding two trim pots to control the range of each filter:

(article is in french, but you’ll get the idea)

Also curious if this is even possible with the Nano version.

And if there’s a mod two make a bypass switch for the envelope follower.

it’ll be difficult on the nano one because there’s not much space in the box and the components are surface mounted (which i presume includes the trimpots so it’ll be very difficult for an electronics amateur to desolder and put a proper pot there)

i’ve always thought about modding a bassballs too. it’d be cool to be able to freeze the envelope and do a manual envelope to get really weird ‘filter balls’ sounds ;)

They can be modded, but it is a lot more difficult. A friend of mine modded a Big Muff that was built with SMDs and it was very hard but he managed it.

the nanos can be modded just as easily as the old style ones

Anyone know if you can bypass the envelope? So that it’s essentially just to stationary filters?
