I’m considering purchasing the EHX Killswitch, but before doing so I want to make sure it will work the way I intend on using it.

I’m wanting to place it between a Digitch Bass Synth Wah and the EHX Bass Big Muff. The idea being that the Synth Wah has 2 outputs, one for normal (Dry), the other for the effect. I want to run the bass into the Synth Wah, effect output to the Return on the Killswitch, with the normal going to the Input on the Killswitch, then output to the Big Muff. Will the Killswitch still work without using the Send jack?

if you want to merge 2 signals into one and fade in the fx out of the wah, other pedal might do the trick. i think the boss ls-2 is what you want, but i’m not sure if it does what you want. anyways, good luck on that!

from how I understand the killswitch’s operation, that would indeed work.
also nice use of the Bass Synth Wah, I have yet to find a good setting on mine yet, especially with the outputs set up the way they are.

    thanks guys. =)

the synth wah by itself produces a difficult sound to actually use effectively in a song. I bought it because I watched a video of someone attempting to replicate the bass effect from Hysteria by Muse. He was bloody hopeless at playing it and the effect was aweful but there was potential. I was hoping that he was just tone deaf and that I’d be able to do better. I’m getting there, but the next thing I might need to polish it is a delay between the synth and the muff. that’s why i want this ‘blend’ so I can only delay the effect, in an attempt to create the fill between the notes. there’s no ‘punch’ to the notes in Hysteria, they’re all very blended like one continuous note. i’m yet to find anyone who has done it successfully, so it’s time to explore different methods.
