Hello, this is my first post though I been a EHX user for a while. I own a Chorus, A Phaser and a Flanger (stereo mistres, small clone, small stone) and Im very happy with them (but Im thinking in maybe sell the flanger for a real electric mistress or a MXR flanger).

My question is simple, during the past days I been playing wakeman and Keith Emmerson solos on my guitar, Im a great fan of progresive rock and I love the sound of keyboard and guitar together. I have my guitar but I dont know how to play keyboards. Longstory short, I dont have much money and only can aford 2 new EHX pedals (vocoders, hog, pog, microsynth, ring mod, etc.)
    ¿What would be your options?

In Effectology they showcase three settings that Im interested (Lucky man´s Solo, hammond organ, jazzy rhodes). Im limited to 3 pedals.

I already have a good DIY comp and my modulation pedals, also a power wha volume by Morley and a Jeckyll & Hyde overdrive/distortion and a Bass Big Muff.

PD: the pedals that apeal to me are The vocoder, The pog and the Mycrosynth+Frecuency Analizer, maybe used I could find a good deal and buy more than 2.

I’d get the HOG and Microsynth now- they’re the most versatile out of that group and you’ll be able to get the widest array of synth sounds out of them.

Then get the Frequency Analyzer and Vocoder later, since they’ve got less tricks up their sleeves.

Good deals depend on if you go new/used. I got my HOG slightly used for 320.

The thing is the HOG is pretty big and I dont know if it fits my pedalboard, It also cost the doble than a Pog or a Mycrosynth. I was wondering if the POG would work like the HOG in all those synth Organ sounds.

I guess would be POG plus Microsynth or only the HOG. What do you think will be better???

Honestly, I’d say get just the microsynth for now and then see what else you think you need.
