It’s a reissue of the ’69 Muff Fuzz. It’s got a really neat sound but doesn’t seem totally usable in a band mix. Any ideas for combinations with other pedals?

Try it with something that will boost your mids, like an EQ, or a wah cocked at a mid frequency, or a phaser frozen at a notch. The Worm works great with the Muff Fuzz.

run it in front of a low to medium gain distortion pedal (tube screamer, MXR distortion III, english muff’n, etc) or get a light distortion happening on yr. amp – then use the muff fuzz as a boost for a rad fuzzy dirt tone. it’s really quite amazing how nice of a sound you can get this way; the muff imparts this strange warmth that seems to cling to every note, especially with lower output pickups. roll off your treble a little bit.

hey thanks! fulltone ocd works great, so does an EHX LPB1 in front of the amp.
