Hi, can anyone tell me how to reproduce the Japanese Banjo (Samisen) sound introduced on YouTube?
3:08~
I’m struggling to reproduce the sound with the same settings on the video, so I assume there’re further pedals / effects needed that aren’t displayed on the video apart from the Superego+.
I think Superego+ is only used for drone which can be replaced by freeze pedal, but just by my ear, further EQ settings or Reverb are still needed?
I bought the Attack Decay pedal because I was so impressed by the Shamisen sound on the Video, so I really want to reproduce the sound, any support are welcome!
Hi This is Bill Ruppert. I did the demo.
The sound is the setting shown. The only effect is a room reverb after the pedal.
The Superego was just for the backing chord.
I used the bridge pick up or the split coil sound for a nice bright tone. Also pick closer to the bridge. That gives it even more twang.
Make sure your amp is set very clean.
If you can make a video of you playing it and I can try and I will help you dial it in. It does not have to be a great video just something to help me hear what you are doing.
Thanks Bill
