    As my first official post on this forum I would first of all like to sa “Hi” to all of you on this lovely forum!

    I have a vintage small stone (V3 I think ) and i like to know more about it. The pot number is 1377935 witch is 5 numbers after the small stone in this thread http://www.ehx.com/forums/viewthread/325/P0/

    That code can only tell you when the pot was made, which can give you an approximation of when the pedal was made. Unless, of course, the pot in question is from a large batch of older surplus units like the 1966 pots found in early 70s Big Muffs.

    137 = pot manufacturer (CTS in this case)
    79 = year pot was made (1979)
    35 = week pot was made (35th week)

    So it’s a 1979 at earliest, possibly an early 1980.

    Now I will go and brag to my friends with their nano stones that i bought this unit for half the price of a new nano stone :)

    That’s an Issue J board isn’t it? I posted a howto for the volume drop fix a while ago. Search should find it.

    It’s a couple of resistor value changes.
    There’s info about the mod here for the v3 I think.
    I found some info here that talks about my v.2 — issue J — and a schematic

    I also posted some pics here after wrestling with the same question for mine.
