The way the Holy Stain (Great pedal, by the way) was presented, it made it seem like there would be more from that family en route. So, EHX forum, what would you like to see in the next EHX multieffect? Here’s a couple of my fantasies…

    THE BIG STAIN-7 Knobs, 2 Switches, 3 Foot-Switches
Input Gain-Controls the amount of dirt.
Clip Frequency-Controls the sharpness of the clip, from none to full square wave.
    Tone-Big Muff tone circuit.
    Phaser-Controls rate of phase
    Color Switch-Color of phase
    Chorus-Controls rate of chorus
    Color Switch-Controls color of chorus
Reverb Size-Controls tone and decay of reverb
    Reverb Mix-Self Explanatory.
There are three switches: Dirt on/off, Mod on/off, and Reverb on/off. Holding down the mod switch switches between chorus and reverb.

    THE TUBE STAIN-
    Gain-Preamp Input
    Hi-Hi Cut/Boost
    Low-Low Cut/Boost
    Tremolo-Tremolo Rate
    Tremolo Depth-Alien invasion
    Reverb-Reverb Mix
    Output Gain-Pedal Output
6 Tubes: 1 Preamp, 2 EQ, 1 Tremolo, 1 Reverb, and 1 Output Boost. There’s one switch controlling Effects (and an additional footswitch input for more control) and one for EQ/Dirt.

Thoughts on my ideas, and multieffects you’d like to see?

The MemoryPlex – Tube driven cassette tape delay with real variable tape modulation for flanging and chorus effects. The tubes will also allow for natural tube overdrive and compression.

I like this. So it would be a real spring reverb?

Well, I think you need springs for a real spring verb, but the casing would be so large, you might be able to fit one in… like, for 6 tubes a la the tube series, you’d need a casing about as big as a Boss ME-50… :P
