Sorry for the delayed response. I haven’t been getting email notifications from ehx.com… I have recently purchased a SMD (Surface Mount Device) rework station. I have done this so that I may perform my mods on the newer XO series MS and BMS pedals. I have not yet completed it, but I am confident enough in my ability to do it that I spent several hundred dollars on the tools to do it.

    I’ll keep everyone posted.

    Thanx,

    shotgunn

I am also an EHX dealer so if you do not yet own the XO (Bass) Micro Synth I can order it and then mod it for you.

The cost for the XO mod is a bit more due to the expense of the new tools I had to buy as well as the time it took to re-engineer the mods due to the new schematic.

    Thanx,

Do you make international shipments? I live in Mexico and I’ve been wandering ’round the idea of getting a Bass MicroSynth (I do play bass, btw =P)

    Hi Guys,

    I’m new here.
I was searching for mods of the Micro Synth.
The most interesting mod was the extention with the EXP pedal …

So first of all I modded my FV300 Boss/Roland volume pedal to an expression pedal.
Secondly I drilled a hole in the chassis of the Synth, added a switchable stereo jack connector.

An expression pedal is nothing more than a potentiometer, similar to the sliding pot of the stop freq.
So, cut 2 tracks connected with the slide “stop freq” pot. and connect the wires to the jack connector.
In that way, when no jack plug is inserted the switchable connector makes the connection again of the cut tracks. When inserting the jack, the “stop freq” pot will be disconnected and the tracks will be connected with the EXP pedal.

I will try to add some pictures on the forum.

The mod is really great and quite easy! Took me 20 minutes, a stereo jack connector and 5 wires.

    Ciao.
