I’d love to see a straight ahead small(ish) looper with stomp switches for rec, play, octave, and reverse.
Basicly the Line6 DL-4 without the delay models, only built so it can go more than one gig without it crapping out on me.
I know you’re thinkin, “get the 2880, jerk”. But that + the pedal is too big and too expensive.
I’d rather buy 3 ehx single channel destructive loopers at around $200, if they ever decide to make em.

it’s not exactly what you’re after but the hazarai delay is small and relatively inexpensive; only a stomp switch for play and record but the reverse and octave knobs are pretty easy to tweak with your toes if you play in socks or have small shoes. plus you can use the delay and looper simultaneously if you want, or just leave it in loop mode and dont worry about the echo.

I thought about getting one of those to do just that, but i dont think i could pull it off live while playing and singing.
    …that and my feet stink.

ah the classic conundrum… the 16 second digital delays should have come down in price a little, they are a BIT smaller and simpler than the 2880, plus the foot controller gives you all the footswitches you were after. also, the sliders should be easier to adjust with shoes on. it’s not ideal obviously, but i would say it is far better suited for what you are after than the 2880 or hazarai delay would be.

having had the 2880 and being an owner of the hazarai and 16 second, i would say “you always need more than one looper” – because no single looper does everything (very unfortunate! ) – without being sarcastic i think “how hard can it be” – line 6 switches (quiet and fast, taking unreliability issues aside) for play , record, one shot, reverse, and octave up/down. then loop storage, that great 16 sec pitch/tempo loop stretch thing etc. etc. – i have three loopers , waiting for the looperlative lp-2 mini which is about 6 weeks away i think…
