    Hi All,
First post here and I’m looking to find the date of an old Dr. Q pedal I have. I’ve tried taking it apart to see if there was a date or code on the underside of the only pot, but all I can find is “100KB”. The guy I bought it from locally years ago said it was from the ’70’s, but I never asked him how he knew. Now that I have it open, is there any way I can tell from codes on the circuit board or other places? Thanks for the help.

On the back of the pot is a 7 digit number starting w/ 137. The next 2 numbers are the year, the last 2 are the week.

Post a pic of the inside of the pedal if you can.

yeah that doesn’t look vintage. it’s got the fancy LED that you see on the modern non-XO ones.

Definitely a reissue. the LED and the circuit board design are giveaways.

Thanks for the info. I’m only out $15 for it and it does sound cool, so I guess it’s fine if it’s not of the vintage he said it was. I appreciate it guys.

yea, you can always tell by it having an led and the older ones have CTS pots that are (as mentioned) dateable by the 4th and 5th number. 137 stands for CTS (Chicago Telephone Supply)
