    Hi,

My Big Muff Pi USA Re-Issue has stopped working. I opened it up and there were two wires connected to the amplifier output jack that are not connected to anything ie. loose. I am an absolute electronics beginner so I would appreciate your help. My camera has broken so I will attempt to post a picture soon.

    The looser wires:
    – One is blue and is connected to the same connecter(?) as a green wire going from the output jack to the switch
    – The other is black and is connected to a different metal connector(?) on the output jack.

    – There are three large soldered blobs on the edge of the board closest to the output jack which are attached to the sustain control. The middle one has a yellow wire which connects to the switch. The other two have nothing connected and one has what looks like a bit of blue so I think the blue wire was once connected to this.

EDIT- I have attached a pic of a similar board. I have circled where I now think the two wires(blue and black) go. These two points are the only ones not connected and the two wires are only about two inches long so can only really reach these to points.

Now I am trying to figure out which one is supposed to go to the top point and the bottom point(circled in red on the image).

If anyone can help me that would be great.

Sorry for my ignorance and long-winded explanation!

    Thanks
    Jim

The upper point is where the blue wire goes. That’s the effect input.
The lower point is ground and the black wire goes there.
