Has anyone had a chance to try out the CLOCK IN feature on the Super Pulsar? I’d love to see a video ( yes, Bill, that’s a hint ) that shows this feature being used.
I’ve been playing with the clock in extensively in the last week. Quite reliable. I use a Molten Voltage CTRL SYNC to act between the MIDI clock and the Super Pulsar. It took me a long time to figure out the sync because I realized after awhile that my cable was shorting out. Talk about pure frustration.
I’m not the sharpest tool in the shed, but trying to find my way around the super pulsar’s custom rhythms and presets was a bit of a challenge, even with the manual in front of me the whole time. It can be a bit unforgiving if you don’t figure out the exact sequence of steps. At one point I thought that the mode switch died on me and I almost sent it back. Luckily I persisted. I think I get it now.
The key is to go into preset mode, select the preset number you want to work in, then go into normal mode to adjust the settings you want. Once you have the settings, go back into preset mode (But do not load a preset) and save immediately while the preset you loaded earlier is still in queue.

I have the MV SYNC box as well. I’m using it on my Roland Juno-6 & so far it’s working well. Looking forward to trying it when my Super Pulsar gets in.
hi,
i am using the Super Pulsar on clock-in but “quicly” (after a minute or so) it seems to be going out of sync and the peak of the wave is not on the beat anymore . . .
i am sending the midi clock of a Boss DR880 drum machine into a Boss ES-8 switcher, which send it to the Super Pulsar via a jack cable.
what am i doing wrong ?
everything seems to be working fine. changing the beat on the DR880 does change the beat on the ES-8 (bpm display) and the Super pulsar follow (slows down or speed up accordingly) but then . . .
i noticed on 75bpm – 16th note setting
is anyone using a Molten Voltage CRL-sync who can confirm that he doesn’t have that problem ?
maybe the Boss ES-8 convert the midi clock like 99.9% accurately ? ? ? ?
i don’t know, i like my Super Pulsar but this sure is annoying
thanks a lot
alright alright people calm down problem solved
so i bought a Molten Voltage CRL SYNC and … it’s working fine ! no more desync
somehow the boss ES8 would send like 99.9% accurate midi clock so obviously it would desync over time (pretty fast)
don’t blame it too fast, it’s a very good machine overall with nice possibilities. maybe the clock works fine with delays and other stuff. . ? ?
all i can say is that the Super Pulsar works fine (and the Molten Voltage )
