Ok, first of all, I am a HUGE fan of the soul-pog pedal and use it almost every time I pick up my guitar.

However, there was something I noticed on the box when I first bought the pedal that really bugged me… The box says “Your polyphonic fusion”. Allow me to nerd out for a second; Polyphony is when there are at least two or more different melodic lines played at once. And the octaver effect that comes from the Nano-pog part of the pedal simply adds octaves to a pre-existing melody, or, whatever is being played. This creates a unison but by NO means creates polyphony.

I have since seen many people use ‘polyphonic’ to describe this pedal and the octaver and I physically cringe whenever this happens.

I can’t be the only one that has noticed this…
