Bass big muff handles highs fine. And they all handle low tunings well.

    I tune to CA#D#ACC

Use this diagram, make all the changes in green. This is a NYC muff with a green sovtek muff tonestack.

On the diagram, “R” is for Ohms and “uF” is for microfarads.

Hello, I own a Lil’ Big Muff and use it on my bass. I recently tried out the Bass Big Muff and before I had tried the Russian version. To be honest I really don’t like the was Russians sound on bass and since the Bass Big Muff is based on that one I didn’t buy it :(
So, I’m trying to mod my Lil’ BM to lat the clean signal go through mixed with the fuzz, but I can’t seem to find a diagram (Nor a way, for that matter) to do that.
Does anyone have any idea of what can I do to get that specific mod? A diagram or spoken word reply would be incredibly appreciated =D

dude the Bass Big Muff rocks, though the LBM is awesome on bass too!

I’m not sure how you’d add a dry signal, it can’t be as simple as wiring the input and output together and adding a switch could it? (poke poke Ned)

Trust me, I tried doing so, but for some reason that just gives me a dry signal always (Turned on/off), that’s the reason I’m asking here, to the Masters of EHX
    … NED? :D

    It sucks :S
At least to me. The Fuzz isn’t as good as any of the muffs out there and the Distorsion is way barely noticeable… but just like every pedal out there, you ought to try it our by yourself :)

well you could split your signal prior to the LBM and make a simple mixer like this:

    PassiveMixer.gif

you don’t have to make all 3 inputs, just two.

There’s a guy offering me a russian black muff for around £30,
Alas, should I go for it?
I’ve already got an NYC muff…but another muff couldn’t be bad…could it?

You cant do it, its just not that simple.
I mean its possible but considering you’re asking about it I would say its out of your depth. It requires the addition of a buffer(a whole other circuit) to the pedal, and the LBM is SMD and it will be very fiddly work even for someone that knows what they are doing.
Just buy the bass big muff.

Blue Steel, I’ve taken your advice,
Watched a few videos and heard through the grapevine that these pedals are quite different from the NYC versions.
Cannot wait to get it through the post. :metal:

if you’re looking for a bargain mcconnachiea.
