I recently got a POG 3 and am chasing a sound that I used to get on my HOG. I love the freeze gliss mode, but unlike most people I have very little interest in playing over top of the frozen/glissed sound like you often see in demos. I would like the entire sound to be in the gliss signal, and none in the dry path.
This means that when a note is frozen (and my expression pedal is full toe-forward), I should be able to play my guitar without any change in the sound because the dry signal is part of the frozen sound.
Is this possible on the POG 3? It definitely was on the HOG because there was a “dry” sound and a unison sound.

It was disappointing to hear that it was intentional. When they discontinued the HOG2 and announced the POG3 I was hoping that meant the POG3 could cater to users of either platform- but I didn’t find it capable of replacing the HOG so I returned mine pretty quickly.- This reply was modified 1 year, 1 month ago by iamtomsbrain.

But nope I guess it’s like this. Not having an ‘original’ signal slider like on the hog is a huge and crazy miss. I’m so devastated, because the stereo panning and huge sound is incredible… but this doesn’t replace what I was doing with the hog. Freeze Gliss 100percent needs this feature.
Also why not make all the sliders tunable to what whatever you want. That would be so amazing. Like hold shift then turn pan to tune on the fly. You could Freeze then start fading in a more complex chord. For basically 700 bucks literally anything should be possible on this pedal.
Also Also, why is the attack so fast even at max settings? There is more than enough throw room on the slider. Slow it down. Let’s us get more oozy!
Come on EHX do us hog users right! These features won’t break what’s already there.

I’ll continue to use my trusty hog, but I have faith that EHX is going to continue updating the firmware for the p3, and adding more fun and surprising stuff. It really should have way more under the hood than it does. It has so much room to grow. This should be one of the most feature rich pedals ever made. It’s all right there.
