Just unboxed my brand new 22500 looper and it hangs with supplied 8 GB SD card. It shows 00. If I take out the card and it shows noSd message the rotary encoder seems working. I tried to format the card with fat32 but it does the same after it. Firmware version shows 36. I didn’t tried with other SD card because I don’t have another at hand. Is it normal for theese pedals? It’s disappointing…
Any ideas? Or just return it?
When you reformatted to fat32, did you remove the SD card from the 22500 and insert it into your computer or did you connect a USB cable to the 22500 and reformat through the 22500?
Can you try reformatted using the official SD card formatting app found here: https://www.sdcard.org/downloads/formatter/
Perform an Overwrite Format rather than a Quick Format.
Where are you located?
Hi Thanks for reply!
I used an usb card-reader to backup the original files from SD card and reformatted it with using Windows 10. If I connect the 22500 to the pc while SD card inserted it freezes the same way, and nothing comes up in Windows. If I connect the unit without SD card, it recognizes a device named “NXP LPC178x Memory”. After a while it disappeares and Windows reports it as failed device. I tried to reformat the card with the formatting app you suggested but it makes no difference. The card was set unlocked all the time. I’m located in Budapest, Hungary.
Are you powering the 22500 with the supplied power supply?
If you have another SD card lying around, it might be worth trying a different card.
I’m using the EU power supply of course supplied with the brand new unit. (It’s rated 9.6 V / 500mA) Tried with 2 other SDHC card and the same thing happening. Completely useless.
Then there is something wrong with the SD connector on the 22500 unit. Sorry about this. We recommend you exchange it for another 22500 at the dealer you purchased it from.
It’s strange, the card can easily pulled out despite the clear click-in feel after inserted. You are probably right with the card socket thing. Thanks for the help anyway…
It is push to eject the SD card on the 22500, but it doesn’t take a lot of force to just pull it out either.
