    I’m so excited, I already have one on order. Unfortuately, I’m headed out of town for 2 weeks, so I won’t be able to play with it when it arrives 😥

    I had just noticed this post while waiting for the Memory Boy official release. I called various vendors to see if they have either received it, is on order or in lieu of being shipped with an ETA.

    No one including Pro Guitar Shop, Guitar Center, Sam Ash, Even Ludlow guitars here in NYC was aware of this. That is why I called EHX directly to see what dealers are getting it in for certain.

    I was met with an answer to the effect of not having that information! What’s up with that? Any company should have a ‘list” or computer base file of such shipments to provide to customers!

    C’mon Lets Go Team!!!

    Same thing happened to me when I ordered my POG2.

    Agreed. Modulated delay isn’t my thing, and that’s really the only thing that sets the Boy apart from the Toy.

    I’m shocked that:

    a) ehx is making both the Toy AND Boy (and also impressed… see B)

    b) there are so many people who are willing to go for the Toy ($20 cheaper) when it doesn’t have the modulation and EXPRESSION in.

    I can’t imagine, unless I was an older session guy who REALLY stuck to one thing, not spending the extra $20 for the option of modulation (square!?) and expression control in…

    Except of course the Toy can fit in your POCKET… ;)

    I really might get both. The Toy is a cleaner delay from what ive heard in the clips. Unlike any other delay EHX has done. The Boy is darker, like the DMM, and has a lot of options, but not quite as clean. So I guess thats the appeal of the Toy vs. Boy, especially if you already have a DMM and dont care about waveforms or expression mode.

    A few months ago for me it was simple, buy an MXR Carbon Copy as the Memory Man is too expensive. Now as the new Memory Boy is cheaper, an A/B test on tone is in order but…I’ve just heard about the Memory Toy which looks to be taking on the MXR head on and is cheaper still. AAAAARRRRGGG! I am definetely staying away from forums for the next few months as conflicting personal opinoions/requirements/preferences get me far too confused.

    yeah, everyone has an opinion………but the only one that matters is yours, take your time, check them out if you can and decide what’s gonna work best for you.
