Hi,
Just received this gear. I am using PRO TOOLS and needed this pedal to use my distorsion pedals as a plugin in my DAW. I did a proper setup as indicated on the user manual.
Created a clean guitar track and chose the effecs interface plugin (connected to a single distorsion pedal in the loop)… The plugin appears, I select Audio / Mono L (I chose Left input and Left output) but… No fx !
On the software plugin, if I turn the mix knob to DRY, I can hear my clean sound guitar but when I turn to WET, all I’ve got is silence !
I spend about 4-5 hours and re-installed (windows 11 64bits) twice. But I’m stucked and begin to think this pedal doesn’t work…
Any idea to help me ?
Thanx
Can we get some more information about your setup?
• Which version of Pro Tools are you using?
• Have you followed the Pro Tools Windows instructions on page 15 of the user manual, to create an Excluded MIDI Ports file? The plugin should automatically prompt you to create this file, but in case it doesn’t follow the directions in the manual. In order for the plugin to communicate with the hardware, the DAW can’t be locked onto it as a MIDI device, and Pro Tools requires this workaround to exclude a MIDI device.
• Can you take a screenshot of the plugin setup? Selecting Audio > Mono L should work, but there shouldn’t be separate selections for Input and Output.
• Can you take a photo of the hardware setup you’ve got? As a test, you can also connect a patch cable directly from the Effects Interface output to the input.
It would probably be easiest to respond by emailing our techs at info@ehx.com with all of this information. Thanks!
