I recently purchased the Big Muff hardware plugin. After carefully following the installation instructions and downloading the plugin, I noticed that the VST3 version is not being recognized in Cubase 14.
Interestingly, the plugin works correctly on an older laptop running an earlier version of Cubase (V13), which leads me to believe that the issue may be related to recent changes in Cubase. As you may know, starting with version 14, Cubase has phased out support for certain older plugin formats, including VST2 and potentially some old VST3 implementations. The last update to the Big Muff VST3 plugin appears to date back to 2022.
With this in mind, I was wondering if there are any plans to release an updated version of the VST3 plugin that is compatible with the latest Cubase versions.
Best regards

1. What operating system are you running Cubase 14 on?
2. If it’s Mac, what is the processor? Apple Silicon or Intel?

I’m using the latest macOS Sequoia 15.5 on a 2022 Mac Studio with an Apple M1 Ultra chip, so the processor is Apple Silicon.

1. As a troubleshooting test, can you try running Cubase 14 in Rosetta mode? To do this, find Cubase in the Applications folder, right-click on it and choose Get Info. In the Info window, check the box Open using Rosetta. Let us know if that works.
2. Enable VST2 in Cubase 14 by following the instructions at this link:

With recent software updates, I have gradually phased out all VST2 and older VST3 plugins. I hope EHX is planning to release a new VST3 update with full native support for Apple Silicon.
