Hi, I’m trying to set up my Attack Decay (reissue – I’m madly in love with it) so that the choppy tremolo effect that you get in continuous envelope mode is sync with tempo. I tried using External Trigger mode (using the 8 Step Program as trigger/tempo generator) but that didn’t work much at all. Basically I’d like to know if I could turn this into a Slicer pedal that can sync with tempo clock. Is that even feasible ?
Thanks !

Try disabling continuous envelopes and use the 8 step to trigger the envelopes. Set the Attack and Decay knobs so their timing matches the tempo from the 8 Step. If you change the tempo on the 8 Step, you will then need to change the timing on the Attack and Decay knobs.

Disabling the continuous envelopes does sort of work but only with fading notes in (cool for a sidechain effect) but what I’m really interested in is having the choppy short decay repeats continuously. I also use a Morningstar MC6 pro that is able to output midi clock pulses via its relay ports, not sure that’ll work…
If I use the gate output from the 8 Step Program, would that work ?
Thanks !

This is the only way we can think of to control the Attack Decay from an external clock.
You can set the Attack knob to zero or close to it so that the effect creates a short choppy decay that is triggered in time with the external clock.
