My apologies, I made a mistake. The minimum Mac OS is 10.15 for the EHX1440 app. The app does not support 10.14. I just confirmed with our head developer.

I have a MacBook M1 pro with Ventura 13.0, and I have to run the old 1.0 version of the app.
If I use the latest version 1.0.49, my Macbook won’t connect to the 1440, and so I can’t export manage the loops on the 1440, or ever run the firmware update!

@sumpe13 We’ve looked into this a little further and found that version 1.0 of the EHX1440 app can run on Mac OS 10.14. And since Gila_Crisis can only run version 1.0, there must be others that also have problems with version 1.0.49. We are making available a link to version 1.0 here:

Would it be possible to assign a different function to the Stop (fx) switch for each loop slot?

I’d like to be able to assign the stop, rev/oct, or trigger function depending on the the nature of a loop.

The 1440 does not support the ability to save a different Stop/FX setting per loop bank but we will add it to the possible firmware updates list for a potential future update.

    Thanks for the suggestion!

    Can you update the manual?
these PC message are not reported in the Midi Mapping!!!

    a. PC 71 – Play function: always initiates the PLAY function unless the loop is empty. As long as audio is found in the currently selected loop bank, and no matter the current mode, sending PC71 will put the 1440 into play mode. PC71 does not start an overdub, record, or stop playback.

    b. PC 72 – Record/Dub function: always initiates the REC or OVERDUB function. 1440 will choose the correct function based on the current state. On an empty loop, PC 72 starts a recording. PC 72 starts an overdub on a playing loop, or immediately starts overdub/play on a stopped loop. During a new recording, PC 72 will close the loop and put the 1440 into overdub.

    c. PC 128 – Direct Loop Erase. Immediately erases the loop of the currently selected loop bank, with no extra confirmation. The loop must be stopped for PC 128 to work. Caution! Once the loop is erased, it is gone forever, this function cannot be undone.

    Thank you!!!

Thanks for the reminder. We are now in the process of updating the manual. Should have a new PDF manual on the 1440 product page in a couple of weeks.

The updated 1440 user manual is now available on its product page or from the following link:
