Besides the Cathedral going up to 2 seconds instead of one, is it pretty much the same echo mode?  Thinking of dumping my SMMH for a Cathedral.

Finally registered here on the forums after reading them for almost a year.
I own both but i have never really tried the Cathedrals Echo setting beacause i’ve never needed it. When i saw this tread i decided to compare them and it turns out they’re a little different.

The basic sound is almost exactly the same on both pedals (both SMMH 3 and 1 seconds). However, if i tap in a rythm on the cathedral. 1. 2. 3. 4. And hit a note on the first beat the first echo comes on the third beat and the second on the fourth beat. I’ve tried different settings but it is always like that and also there is a “Ping-Pong”-effect even though i use both inputs which should disable it according to the manual. But that is something i like a lot.

So the tap tempo is half notes instead of quarter notes?  That could be a problem.

Yeah, but the echoes are still quarter notes.

Oh I see what you’re saying now.  Yeah, it does sound like you’re getting half of the ping-pong.  I’d actually be using it in mono.  Mind testing it out?

I tried it out yesterday while rearranging my pedalboard for a gig. When using stereo outs (regardless of the number of inputs) i get the same effect as i described before. But when i ran it in mono all the way, it behaved like the SMMH.
